Abstract

486,476. Printing on bottles &c. KNAGGS, D. W. April 5, 1937, No. 9627. Drawings to Specification. [Class 100 (ii)] In printing labels &c. on bottles or other non- absorptive surfaces, the print is made in a hard-setting, quick-drying, alkali-resistant ink, and is covered with a synthetic-resin thermalsetting, alkali-resistant varnish. The varnished surface is heated for approximately fifteen minutes at a temperature about 300‹ F. The surface may be etched before printing.
