Abstract
386,554. Hand-trucks; conveyers for boots &c. PL•, E., PL•, P., and PL•, M., 15, Rue St- Fargeau, Paris. June 27, 1932, No. 18162. [Class 108 (i).] Relates to means for transporting boots or shoes, mounted on lasts, in shoe factories. The boots or shoes which are supported upon lasts are transported by means of a truck or conveyer chains upon which are mounted for each last two pins 33, 34 entering corresponding apertures in the last the aperture 42 being the usual one where. by the last is supported in the several shoe machines. Fig. 1 shows a truck having a frame 30 with shoes 35 mounted upon lasts being supported on pins 33, 34. Where shoes with long uppers are lasted the pins are mounted on inclined brackets 44, Fig. 5, and in addition brackets 45 may be provided 10 take shoes without lasts. Fig. 6 shows such supports arranged on conveyer chains 64 passing through a drying or other chamber 67. Fig. 10 shows the conveyer chains travelling in an inclined direction the pins being mounted on boards 50 pivoted to the chain 51 and to second boards 54 so that the pin supports are always horizontal. The pins 33, 34 may be replaced by a single pin provided it is not cylindrical in cross section.
