[Class 7 (vi).] In a four-stroke multicylinder engine in which each pair of cylinders is provided with a pair of piston valves 18, 19, the former controlling the inlet to both cylinders, and the latter the exhaust from both, the valves reciprocate within ported liners 24. Each valve is provided with two ports 26 at different levels, one for each cylinder.
