Abstract
381,533. Harvesting and thrashing grain. DEUTSCHE-INDUSTRIE-WERKE AKT.-GES., 4, Freiheit, Spandau, Berlin. July 27, 1932, No. 21204. Convention date, Sept. 2, 1931. Addition to 380,706. [Classes 6 (iii) and 58.] To couple together the reaping device 2 and the thrashing machine 1 referred to in the parent Specification, the latter machine carries a frame 6 extending longitudinally beyond the wheels 3, 4 of the thrashing machine and the reaper respectively. The frame 6 carries curved upright end members 7, 7<1> formed with slots 8, 8<1>, to take a long bolt 10 that also passes through apertures in horizontal connecting arms 9, 9<1>, projecting from the reaper. The curvature of the members 7, 7<1> has the axis of the supporting wheels of the thrashing machine and the reaper as centre. The one machine may be adjusted relatively to the other about the axis of the bolt 10 to suit the slope of the ground. The cutting device of the reaper may be raised by rocking the reaper about the axis of its wheels through a link connection 17 to a hand-lever 14 on the thrashing machine working over a quadrant 15.
