Abstract

380,999. Flexibly securing claw clutch members to toothed wheels. HOPPE, O., 27, Kirchstrasse, Rorschach, Switzerland. Nov. 24, 1931, No. 32566. [Class 80 (ii).] A claw clutch element 3 within the hub 2 of a machine-tool feedwheel is yieldingly connected to it by balls 6 pressed radially inwards by helical springs 8 into V-shaped recesses 5 in lugs 9 on the element, which lugs, by abutting against surrounding shoulders 11 in the hub when the balls ride up the recesses, limit the relative movement permitted. The facial clutching teeth 4 on the element have pointed ends.
