Abstract

379,913. Frying-ranges. RUSSOM, T. H. and RUSSOM, C. W., (trading as DAVY MACHINE CO.), 8, Admiral Street, Dewsbury Road, Leeds. Nov. 7, 1931, No. 30868. [Class 126.] In frying-ranges in which fumes from the pan are withdrawn by a fan 4, they are drawn past or in contact with the fish racks 2 in order to keep the contents warm. In the construction shown, the fumes may pass around the sides, bottom, top, and back of the fish rack before passing over a baffle 6 to the fan. A sump 13 is provided for the grease and fat. The fan 4 consists of two in tandem, the second fan being in a duct 14 through which it supplies a forced draught below the grate. The range is also provided with a centrally-arranged chip-box (not shown), which is kept warm by an air jacket supplied with air heated in a vertical duct passing through the smoke-box. The air from the jacket passes subsequently into the spaces around the fish racks, and is withdrawn, together with the fumes, by the fans.
