Abstract
379,461. Cylinders. ARMSTRONG SIDDELEY MOTORS, Ltd. and TOWNS, H. L., Park Side, Coventry. July 10, 1931, No. 19859. [Class 7 (ii).] The thread by which a cylinder 9 is fixed to a crank-case 2 is interrupted by gaps 12, slightly longer than the threaded portions, so that the cylinder may be inserted and fixed by slight rotation only. A locking ring 11 is compressed between flanges 3, 10. The crank. case thread may be formed on a loose ring fixed by a transverse pin as described in Specification 164,275.
