355,237. Cylinders. ARIEL WORKS, Ltd., SANGSTER, J. Y., and TURNER, E., Dale Works, Selly Oak, Birmingham. March 6, 1930, No. 7332. [Class 7 (ii).] In a four-cylinder air-cooled engine having its cylinders arranged in parallel pairs as described in Specification 330,231, [Class 7 (ii), Internalcombustion engines, Arrangement &c. of], the cylinder-block casting comprises, (a) the four cylinders and their cooling ribs a<3>, a<4>, (b) a base a<5> for attachment to the crank case, and, (c) housings b3, b4 for two parallel crank-shafts. The casting also includes a crown b on which the head is mounted. The housings b<3>, b4 may be annular.
