Abstract
376,576. Oil engines. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NœRNBERG AKT.- GES., Augsburg, Germany. Oct. 15, 1931, No. 28699. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1930. [Class 7 (iii).] Liquid fuel is injected from a nozzle f through an antechamber e into a combustion chamber c, and the antechamber e is connected through a passage g with an air accumulator h which is in communication with the chamber c through a narrow orifice i. During the compression stroke, air is forced into the accumulator and the ante-chamber. When the fuel is injected, partial combustion occurs, and the increase in pressure in the antechamber forces the air out of the accumulator into the combustion chamber to supply fresh air to the combustion ensuing therein.
