Abstract

374,169. Vehicle brakes. MARTIN, L., 100, Avenue Victor Hugo, Boulogne-s¹r Seine, France. March 11, 1931, No. 7527. Convention date, March 11, 1930. [Classes 103 (i) and 144 (i).] A disc brake for spoked wheels comprises a disc carried by two diametrically opposed pins 13, 14 secured to the rim of the wheel, the pin 14 being pivotally connected to the disc and the other pin 13 engaging the disc by a rectangular member 15 movable in a radial direction in a rectangular slot 14<1> in the disc. The disc is adapted to be engaged on each side by a non-rotatable annular friction disc by means of an inflatable chamber, these parts being carried by a stationary annular member 7. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) a disc brake is described comprising a set of friction discs some rigid with the wheel rim and some with the hub and adapted to be engaged by means of an inflatable member. A member is attached to the disc of a disc wheel, carrying pins on which one set of discs slide. The other set alternating with these first discs slide on splines on a member fixed to the hub. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
