Abstract

372,116. Closures for collapsable &c. tubes. CLARK, E. C., Blackmore, Queen's Avenue, Dorchester. May 28, 1931, No. 15610. [Class 125 (iii).] A self-sealing device for collapsable and other tubes consists of a springy blade affixed non- rotatably to the neck of the tube and normally closing the outlet thereof, being pressed aside to uncover said outlet. Three examples are shown. The end 7, Fig. 1, acts as a spreader for the contents of the tube. The L-shaped blade 4, passing through slits 8 in the nozzle Fig. 4, is provided with a hole 11, which is pressed into alignment with the nozzle. Fig. 6 shows a rigid tube fitted with a cap 12 having a hole 14 into alignment with which is pressed the hole 15 in the blade 4 which passes through slits in the cap.
