Abstract
369,054. Water gas generation. POWER - GAS CORPORATION, Ltd., RAMBUSH, N. E., and DEAN, J. O., Parkfield Works, Stockton-on-Tees. May 5, 1931, No. 13222. [Class 55 (i).] In the operation of a water gas producer in which a steam unit such as a turbine drives the blower, the exhaust steam from the unit is stored during the "blow," in a jacket surrounding the generator, and used to augment the normal steam flow through the generator during. the "run." The turbine 7 is supplied with steam from a drum 6 of a waste heat boiler 5, through a pipe line 9 and exhausts into a pipe line 10 which is connected to a ring main 14 having nozzles 15 situated within the jacket boiler 2 of the generator 1. Surplus steam in the high pressure line 9 may pass through a valve 12a into a low pressure line 13 which communicates through a valve 17a with the jacket boiler. The steam main 13 has a branch line 18 fitted with an isolating valve 19, a steam control valve 20 and a three-way steam valve 21. The valve 21 communicates with pipe lines 22, 23 connected to the top and bottom of the generator respectively.
