[Class 83 (iv).] In a 3-high or other rolling mill if the middle roll b tilts horizontally so that its axis is out of the vertical plane of the other two roll axes it will tend to move axially say to the left so that the sloping surfaces e of the bearing blocks d and the roll frame f will slide over each other and move the roll end back horizontally to a parallel position with the other roll axes. The bearing blocks g may be similarly formed in the other side frame h.
