Abstract
356,595. Automatic - feed weighers. HENNEFER MASCHINENFABRIK C. REUTHER & REISERT, Hennef-on-Sieg, Germany. Dec. 6, 1930, No. 36850. Convention date, Jan. 6. [Class 143.] To prevent the escape of fine powdery material from the joints between the bottom flap and the outlet edges of the weighing receptacle in an automatic weighing machine, particularly at the commencement of the feed operation, the stream of material is deflected by inclined plates b on to the side walls, which, in conjunction with guide plates c, contacting at their upper edges with the side walls, and at their lower edges with the flap d, deflect the flow towards the centre of the flap in the direction of the arrow, the material pressure on the plates c ensuring a close fit between the flap and these plates.
