[Class 19.] A device for cleaning shoes on a large scale comprises a number of discs 1 of fabric at least of two kinds, one impregnated with polish and mounted on a rotating spindle 2. The discs are pressed together by terminal metal parts 6, 7. Preferably, the discs of fabric in the middle of the mop are impregnated with shoe cream. Shoes are first brushed with the upper layers of fabric which are made of coarse threads, then the impregnated layers are made to apply cream, and the shoes are finally polished with the lowest fine layers. The mop may be driven by a motor 3 held in the hand or by a fixed motor with a flexible shaft.
