Abstract

516,405. Polishing or grinding machines. AKTIESELSKABET FISKER & NIELSEN. Oct. 12, 1938, No. 29592. Convention date, Oct. 22, 1937. [Classes 60 and 138 (i)] In a machine for polishing or grinding floors and other surfaces, of the kind comprising two brushes or tools to which is imparted a circular translatory motion, each brush 8 derives its motion from two separate cranks 6. The brushes, which preferablv are of rectangular form, are mounted side by side in a casing 1 in which the crank pins 5 are journalled. An electric motor 2 rotates the pins through gearing 3, 12, 13, 4. The pins are so arranged that the brushes move in opposite directions.
