[Class 7 (ii).] A vaporizing wall 7 separates the combustion chamber from a compression space 8, whence combustible mixture is forced by an extension 4 of the piston ; heavy fuel is thus vaporized and turbulence produced. The piston extension may be inside, and the combustion chamber outside, the wall 7. Ignition is by a sparking plug 10.
