Abstract

193,424. Porsche, F. Feb. 20, 1922, [Convention date]. Flame igniters. - An auxiliary charge of readily-inflammable fuel is ignited in a chamber X which i.s cut off as far as possible from the main combustion chamber. An extension Y on the piston may reciprocate within the chamber X, sufficient annular space being allowed around it to permit the passage of the flame from the combustion of the auxiliary charge. Mixing of the charges, it is stated, is prevented as far as possible. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 6674/05, 24552/06, 10855/07, 27230/10, 6413/14, 142,196, and 163,077.
