Abstract

346,047. Chenille. FITZPATRICK, H. D., 94, Hope Street, Glasgow.-(Morton, J. ; Crans, Sierre, Switzerland.) Jan. 11, 1930, No. 1074. [Class 142 (iv).] In the manufacture of chenille fur for use subsequently i n manufacturing pile fabrics such as carpets, rugs, and hangings, pile yarns P and ground warp yarns T are knitted together in a warp machine to make strips one or more needle spaces wide. The pile loops are drawn out by hooks 16 and are cut as and where required by cutters 18 on hooks 17. The warp yarns L<1>, L<2> may be laid in by shogging the warp bars, and the pile yarns P may be enchained on the sinker loops by lapping them around hooks 23 from which they are subsequently disengaged.
