Abstract

344,252. Roofs. SMALL, W., Woodstock, Lordswood Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham. March 26, 1930, No. 9604. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i).] Roofing tiles 1 are formed with one or more undercut lugs 2 on the back and inset from the top edge, and are secured by clamping the lugs between pairs of laths 5, 7 so that the underside of the tiles above and below the lugs bear on the laths. Intermediate rows may consist of ordinary tiles hung on single laths. Fig. 2 shows the underside of a curved tile which is provided near the top edge with a lug 2 of dovetail section.
