Steel alloys contain carbon, either vanadium or molybdenum or both, and one or more of the following elements: 0,5 to less than 5 per cent of titanium; 0,5 to less than 5 per cent of beryllium; 0,75-4,9 per cent of silicon. The alloys are heat-treated by quenching followed if required by annealing.
