Abstract

338,341. Triggs, W. W., (Schloemann Akt.-Ges.). Nov. 1, 1929. Multiple-way lift valves ; closure members.-In a control valve device for high pressure hydraulic engines, the main valves 5, 6 are provided with extensions guided in cylindrical guides 7, 8 and are balanced by pilot valves 13, 14 seating in them, which pilot valves are themselves balanced in virtue of the equal diameters of their spindles 15, 16 where they pass through the casing at both ends. The pilot valves are hand actuated bv a lever and rocking device 4, 10, 11, and the clearance spaces 20 between the. valve extensions and their cylindrical guides permit the entry of fluid pressure to the back of the main valves. Pressure fluid enters through the pipe 1, and passes to the hydraulic engine through the pipe 2 and to exhaust through the pipe 3. Springs 18 effect the closing of the valves and the arrangement allows of accurate and quick adjustment by hand of the flow of fluid.
