Abstract

337,995. Vereinigte Aluminiumwerke Akt.-Ges. Nov. 27, 1928, [Convention date]. Electrolytic furnaces.-The furnace is continuously charged automatically in accordance with the quantity of alumina which is reduced to metal in the bath. The charging hopper d is mounted on the hollow anode b and the valve t controlling the outlet from the hopper is operated by a currentindicating device e. A distributing member g spreads the falling charge uniformly over the bath.
