Abstract

333,488. Lennard, E. W., and Cowper Shoe Co., Ltd. Dec. 16, 1929. Foot-arch - supports.-An auxiliary fastening device for shoes &c. comprising a tab or ear band straps d, e extending respectively along the upper-edge of the shoe &c. counter to near the back and to near the junction of the quarter and vamp n is provided on each side to draw the shoe tightly around the ankle and to support the arch and instep of the foot. The straps d, e, pass outside the shoe from between the lining k and quarter b through slits f, g and are joined together to form the tab b, which is eyeletted at c for the passage of the fastening lace for the boot. The shoe counter is not eyeletted beyond the tab b.
