Abstract

332,026. Baird & Son, Ltd., A., and Baird, H. A., June, 15, 1929. Mine props of the type having an internally-screwed fitting inserted into and fixed to the upper end of a tubular prop and adapted to receive a rotatable screw, have the screw 5 and fitting 2 both of cast metal, the fitting being also provided with an apron cast integrally with it adapted to receive the end of the screw when partially or wholly retracted into the prop. The tubular prop may be provided with a wooden core 13 and the head 11 may be of hollow formation and adapted to receive a wooden core.
