Abstract

327,113. Redrup, C. B. Oct. 19, 1928. Centrifugal-action lubricating. -In an internal-combustion or other engine or pump wherein the pistons are connected to arms 6 mounted on an inclined crank pin 4, lubricant is supplied to the hollow interior of the shaft and flows out through one or more radial holes 8 in the inclined crank pin. The boss 5 on which the arms 6 are mounted is divided to allow the lubricant to issue by centrifugal action. The lubricant enters the cylinders by way of the openings 9 for the arms 6. The invention is applicable to doubleacting engines or pumps or to engines with a power and pump cylinder in line.
