Link-work.-The pistons of a four-stroke-cycle internal-combustion engine having four cylinders parallel to a central shaft, or inclined as shown in Fig. 1, are connected in pairs to a sliding member d mounted in bearings, one of which is shown at d', at right angles to the axis of driving shaft b. Mounted to turn in the ends d<2> of the member d is a second member h carried by an inclined crank on the main shaft. The crank web i is detachably secured to the driving shaft b access to which is obtained through an opening k<2> in the casing k.
