Abstract

325,690. Arnold, C. L., and M. K. Electric, Ltd. Feb. 14, 1929. Plug couplings; earth-continuity couplings.-A plug member for use with a wall socket is made up of several parts to which leads can be connected in various ways to give alternative circuits. A member 11 has pins 12, 13 that fit the wall socket, directly connected to pins 17, 17<a> that engage sockets 39, Fig. 5, in a member 18. The earthing connection socket is connected directly to a socket 49 and the line sockets are connected through fuses to corresponding sockets on the opposite face of the body 18 for engagement with a second pin device 14. Leads 16 connected to the pins 17, 17<a> provide a connection without fuses, and leads 16a connected to the pins 12a, 13a provide a subsidiary circuit connected through the fuses in the member 18 . Leads may be led in through the opening 20 and connected to the sockets 49 or to the pins 12, 13 giving circuits with and without fuses respectively.
