Abstract

323,851. Davies, W. H. Nov. 3, 1928. Mine props.-A telescopic prop comprises two members A, B, the end of member A contacting with a cross-bar D the ends of which are adapted to slide in taper grooves C fornned in the other member. To prevent deformation of the edges of the slots a collar E is positioned above the cross-bar. In a modification, the grooved member may be formed of two channel-bars clamped together at their upper and lower ends.
