Porous artificial stone.-Porous or cellular concrete for paving hard courts or playing grounds consists of sand or other filling material such as powdered cork, leather, or sawdust mixed with the cement described in Specification 212,419 and consisting of portland cement, slate-lime, and powdered aluminium, zinc, or magnesium. On the addition of water to the mixture, gases are generated and the concrete becomes porous. Paving blocks may be formed of the concrete.
