Abstract
319,908. Mackay, D. M. Sept. 6, 1928. Working-fluid supply.-A turbine c is driven by a mixture of waste or low-pressure steam supplied by a pipe a, and compressed air supplied by a pipe j. A mixing valve and nozzle b is fitted, and compressed air is also supplied by pipes k to intermediate stage valves h. The exhaust from the turbine passes by a pipe l to a centrifugal separtor m and thence by a pipe n to a rotary exhauster o which is connected by a pipe p to the compressor d and to the atmospheric pipe q. The auxiliary machines m, o, d are preferably on the turbine shaft e. Valves are arranged in the connections l, n, q, and a container f is provided in the compressed air pipe line.
