Abstract

310,859. Lavaud, D. S. de. March,22, 1927, [Convention date]. Divided 287,506. Frame constructions.-The entire frame is made of a single casting of a suitable metal, such as that sold under, the registered Trade Mark " Alpax," or of pressed sheet metal such as steel. The frame is formed with a, recess 213 for the engine and housings 221 and 222 for the petrol tank and battery, and with a central arched portion for the driving shaft. The edges are bounded by vertical hollow flanges of box-like form. Apertures .136 are provided for attachment of axle springs. Various modifications are shown in cross-section of which one is shown in Fig. 16. The vertical walls l may be omitted. The extrema front end of the chassis is in the form of an annulus to allow of a pivotal connection with the front axle as described in Specification 310,858, [Class 108 (ii), Road vehicles, Undercarriage details &c. for].
