Abstract

308,548. Gourley, J. H. Sept. 19, 1928. Conditioning grain.-In apparatus in which grain falls through a chamber containing rotary drums B and baffles F disposed in staggered relation to each other and through which hot air passes from an inlet G to an outlet H, the drums are internallv heated by a current of hot air, steam, &c. The drums have concave surfaces and similar non-heated drums C, D form charging and discharging devices. Weighted or spring-controlled scrapers J are placed beneath the drums.
