Surface carburettors.-A surface carburettor comprises a container A filled with wood wool or other absorbent and provided with a perforated air-inlet conduit D fitted with a check valve E and a mixture-outlet conduit G controlled by a check valve H and a manually-operated valve J. Secondary air may be admitted to the conduit G through a pipe K controlled by a manually-operated valve L.
