Spray carburettors.-A carburettor as described in the parent Specification, in which suction is transmitted to the top of the float chamber a through a pipe g connected to the slow-running mixture conduit c, is modified in that (1) a suction-actuated ball valve i is provided in the pipe g, (2) an air inlet l controlled by a valve m opens into the pipe g on the engine side of the valve i, and (3) the float chamber is provided with an air inlet which is closed by a valve p carried by a bimetallic strip q as the temperature rises.
