Abstract

305,901. Bedford, C. S. June 27, 1928. Addition to 290,138, [Class 15 (i), Dyeing &c., Apparatus for]. Coating materials in long lengths.-In apparatus as in the parent Specification, for dyeing, mordanting, finishing, impregnating, polishing, &c. lengths of fabric, paper and the like, the alternately driven rollers to and from which the material is wound backwards and forwards, are provided with resilient surfaces formed by projecting strips of rubber. The strips 1 may be of single thickness, or doubled as shown in Fig. 2, being secured between the wooden laths 5. The strips may be formed into tongues in staggered arrangement. The end of the material may be secured to the roller by a clamping bar 9.
