Abstract

304,526. Pilling, G. April 11, 1928. Connecting-rods.- In a piston and connecting-rod attachment of the ball and socket type, a bronze ball 2 is screwed on to the end of the connecting-rod 10 and secured by a stud 7. The ball is held in a socket in the piston by a cap 6 secured by studs 8. The cap and socket have anti-friction linings 3 and the bearing is lubricated by passages 11.
