Abstract

300,932. Beney, E. R. Aug. 16, 1927. Single-acting bucket pumps -A pump for filling petrol lighters &c. comprises a container a enclosing a pump d having a valved piston e and a hollow piston rod f through which the petrol is delivered to a nozzle h fitting the lighter when the piston is forced down. A spring i returns the piston, and petrol then enters the barrel d through a valve k. The nozzle h is closed by a cap o which engages a screwed boss m when the piston is pushed down. A needle t for cleaning the nozzle h may be mounted on the piston. The container a may be filled through the boss m and a hole s in the barrel d.
