Pocket knives.-A pocket knife has a sharpening device 3 that can slide relatively to the handle to sharpen the knife blade while the latter is dosed or nearly closed. For a single bladed knife or for Knives having blades pivoted at opposite ends of the handle a piece of hardened steel or stone is supported on pins 5' passing through slots 2 in the handle, the outer ends of the pins 5 having finger pieces 4 for operating the sharpener.
