Ambulances. - A collapsable stretcher truck is formed of a lazytong framework 38 a fixed tubular frame 48 and slidable rods and frame 46, the slidable frame being operated by rack and pinion gearing 52, 50 or by right and left-handed screw gearing for extension. The lower ends of the rods framework members carry wheels 42, 44, the small wheels being raised as the frame is extended. The stretcher frame is also collapsable on hinges and is provided with adjustable head and foot rests 70, 68 respectively and with depending lugs 72 whereby it is clamped to the truck by hand wheels 78, Fig. 6.
