Divided on 296.154, Working-fluid supply; motor power plant. - A high-pressure turbine driven by combustion products and steam works with a back-pressure substantially higher than atmospheric and the steam and combustion products exhaust separately and are further separately expanded in an intermediate-pressure turbine 6. The steam takes up heat in the intermediate turbine and leaves with an increased temperature. The exhaust steam from the intermediate-pressure, turbine 6 is expanded in a low pressure condensing turbine 14 and the combustion gases exhausting to the atmosphere generate steam in a boiler 14". Reservoir chambers 16 maintain a constant pressure of the gases exhausting from the highpressure turbine.
