Abstract

295,469. Wassell, D. G. June 14, 1927. Strops and stropping-apparatus.-In a stropping or honing appliance for sharpening safety razor blades, the blade is mounted on a spindle 1 mounted in a slide 2 which reciprocates on a track 4 and the blade is turned to present opposite sides to the strop or hone by means of bands which pass under projecting studs or rollers 3 and over the spindle. The tension of the bands is adjustable by screws 6. Alternatively the bands may pass over the studs and under the spindle.
