Abstract
293,196. Aves, H. W. July 5, 1927. Draught and weather excluders.- A spring - controlled draught and weather excluder of the kind which is applicable to right or left-hand opening doors and carried on parallel pivoted links 4 is made reversible by reversing the attachment of the spring 7 to a staple 9 on the opposite side, and by pivoting the links 4, 4A at the points 18. The links 4, 4<A> are provided with additional pivot holes 17 so that the rod may be adjusted to an uneven floor. The casing 2 on which the strip is mounted is suitably recessed at 16, 13 for the spring 7 and strip 3, Fig. 5. The excluder strip is depressed on to the floor by contact with a plate on the jamb when the door is being closed.
