289,943. Sugg & Co., Ltd., W., and Sugg, P. H. Feb. 2, 1927. Pressure - regulating valves.-A diaphragm-actuated gas governor has the valve spindle supported by spiral springs 8, 12 arranged in a plane substantially at right-angles to the direction of movement of the valve member. The inner convolutions of the lower spring 8 are clamped to the spindle by nuts 7, while the outer convolutions are held against a shoulder on the casing by a flanged cap 9. The outer convolutions of the upper spring are similarly clamped, while' the inner ones engage a knurled nut 10 adjustably secured to the spindle. The actuating diaphragm 15 is clamped to the casing by a cover 14 and to the spindle by nuts 17 engaging reinforcing discs of tin plate 16.
