Abstract

285,282. Neil, A. W. April 30, 1927. Cans; partitions.-Containers for charging fuel reservoirs of igniters are provided with an externally screw-threaded boss 2 adapted to be connected directly, or by means of an adaptor, with the filling aperture of the igniter and are divided by a fluid-tight partition 6 into an upper fuel chamber 1 and a lower chamber 7, preferably sub-divided into a plurality of compartments, to accommodate an adaptor, spare wick or flints, or other smokers' accessories. The chamber 7 is provided with a sliding or hinged lid 8. The lids 8, Figs. 4 and 6, are provided with a ridge 12, which forms a continuation of the runner or guide 13 in the closed position. A hinged lid may be retained in the closed position by a spring or by a bent hinged clip. In the latter case, the lid may be opened by a spring when released from the clip.
