284,305. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., (Assignees of Klaus, F. R., and Brunner, E. F). Jan. 29, 1927, [Convention date]. Detachable - rim attachments to wheels; tyre attachments to rims. - A detachable rim, comprising a split base portion 18 with a groove 25 at its outer edge to receive a continuous side flange 19, is secured over a channel-section felloe 12 by bolts 27 having tapered heads 29 engaging the coned base 22 of the rim-groove 25. The bolts 27 are fixed in position by driving their milled shank portions 28 through apertures in the flange 14 of the felloe. Clamps 32, or a continuous flange, may be fitted under the nuts 34.
