Reinforced concrete slabs.-The reinforcement consists of steel strips slotted on one or both edges to form teeth or fangs b, Fig. 2, and then twisted so that the fangs radiate in all directions as shown in Figs. 1 and 11. The slots may be inclined or dovetailed. The modification shown in Fig. 8 is formed by cutting U-shaped slots f, Fig. 6, in the blank, bending the fangs b out of the general plane, and then twisting the strip. The ends of the strips may project for keying in the cement joints.
