Abstract

Buyers.-In a headstock for mining-tubs and like vehicles comprising a flanged metal member 1 having wings 2 adapted to be connected to the longitudinals 3 of the vehicle, buffer blocks 5 in engagement with the headstock are provided with protecting-caps 6 that completely enclose the laces of the blocks subject to buffing shocks. The top and bottom flanges of the member 1 are extended at 4 to cover the upper and lower sides of the wood block 5 and to fit within the metal cap 6 which is secured thereto by bolts 8. The cap 6 may be formed with flanges to fit over the member 4, or the headstock mav have an upper extended part 4 and the cap a lower flange to fit over the lower flange of the member 1. The caps may have faces other than those shown.
