Bodies.-The pillars of the framework of the body of a motor vehicle such as a motor charabanc, omnibus or like vehicle are extended downwards beneath the floor and chassis and are there interconnected by transverse members. The pillars a, Figs. 1 and 2, are provided with flitch plates g, which may be central as shown or on either side of the pillar, and these plates g are extended downwards and connected to a transverse member i by angle plates. The members i may be stiffened by wooden strips j.
