296,655. Howaldtswerke Akt.-Ges. Oct. 10, 1927, [Convention date]. Addition to 289,840. Floating docks.-The floating dock for hydroplanes described in the parent Specification is provided with air chambers in the bottom or platform c, so as to reduce the lifting effort required and stabilize the structure. As shown, the platform has side tanks g which may be permanently empty, and a middle tank h adapted for flooding. In a modification the guidemembers b<1> are omitted and the bottom b is supported solely by the lifting-gear. The platform c may be adapted for running into and out of the dock.
